I served in the Navy from August '04 - '08 and spent more than half that time in BUD/s classes 255 and 266. Broke both my legs in the first and got pneumonia in hell week in the second. The most fun I never want to have again haha. Right now I'm out in IRR going to school for Kinesiology, then applying for OCS - then onto BUD/s again for my third and final shot at the SEAL teams. Other than that I didn't really get to see or do much of anything cool while I was in, I kinda miss it.. mostly the free medical services.. haha.

I don't really talk much about the specifics, but as I stated elsewhere, spent most of my tour in Okinawa, JP. I was in from September '04 to September '08, went in three months after graduating high school. Most of my training, e.g. boot camp, MCT (Marine Combat Training) and MOUT (Marine Operations in Urban Terrain) was done in California; my MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) school was in Meridian, MS. I am a 7041 which is an Aviation Operation Specialist. That entails a lot of different things, so whatever the name implies to you, it's probably the right answer.

I was with MWHS-1 (Marine Wing Headquarter Squadron) on Camp Foster, was some of the best fun I had while I was in. Met some awesome people, some of them I'm still best of friends with and pray for the ones who are in the sandbox still. I am also in IRR (a ready reserve squadron that one who has been released from active duty stays in until he/she has fulfilled all required time of duty) and continue my service to the Federal government through FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).

I went to Parris Island Sc for Bootcamp right out of HS. Thats where the real Marines are anyway, right Mendeku I went to Camp Geiger for my 0311 (Infantry Rifleman) school. From there I went to mainside Lejeune and was attached to 2/8 Golf company. Unfortunately after Mojave Viper (formerly CAX) after returning to base I had 3 seizures. I was subsequently discharged and did not even get to go on one deployment. I am now going to school for Occupational Therapy and will graduate in September.

Oh, and while at 29 Palms at MOUT town in Mojave Viper we burned down a Mosque with one of theose M203 parachute flares. The fire spread to several other buildings and the range was secured. That was an rotfl moment, higher ups were fucking pissed.

Dude, we did the same shit with an AT-4 in MCT. We blew the hell out of a tank, debris flew, causing a brush fire. Shit lit up so damn fast, thought I saw Smokey the Bear running for the hills. It was never repored though, Top kept a lid on it.

As far as Lejeune goes, pfft, only the "gifted" ones go there. Us hardcore boys go to Cali, and climb "the Reaper". What do you guys have? Sand fies? Lol.

Too bad the Reaper collapsed though. They don't make Cal Marines like they used to.

Sorry to hear about your seizures man, that sucks. I'm sure you're getting 100% disability from the VA. If not, i'ma smack you, then smack them.
