How old are you?I am 30 years old.
What country do you reside in?U.S.
What name will you use in game? (NOTE: You MUST read and abide by our Character Naming Policy)My in-game name is Vice.
What is your username on the SWTOR forums? My SWTOR forum name is Viscount.
Which advanced class interests you the most?I am intrigued by the Sith Inquisitor class the most. It appeals to my nature since I am naturally curious and inclined to investigate the arcane mysteries of the ‘Force’.
Which area do you enjoy the most? (PvP, RP, PvE, etc...)I enjoy a hybrid of PvP and RP the most. To me, PvE is a means to that end even though I consider it very important to expanding one’s knowledge of the game’s mechanics and building the community.
What is your take on "Ganking," "Griefing," "Camping," etc...? We define these activities as follows:
- "Ganking" = Killing a player far below your own level
- "Griefing" = Consistently killing the same lower level player over and over again
- "Camping" = Staying on top of a dead player's body until they respawn only to kill them again and again when they are in a weakened and vulnerable state.
These activities exploit the game’s mechanics to generate frustration in the player who is the victim of these practices. For this reason I am unequivocally against these practices as it does not serve the purpose of advancing the greater cause of the gaming community. I believe the purpose of this and other games is to provide an environment where healthy competition can thrive.
Tell us about your self briefly and why you want to join Reign.I am first and foremost a military man. I have served in the U.S. Army since 2000 and am still currently a part of that organization. I am also a writer, and an avid gamer. My first MMORPG was Star Wars Galaxies – needless to say, that game failed. But I enjoyed the sense of community there and even established a guild while I played.
Presently, I am a level 40 Sith Inquisitor. I have remained unguilded for some time now so that I could take a leisurely route to the end game of my class. However, I am realizing that the thing that has been missing that would have allowed me to explore the true potential of my character is a group of like-minded individuals.
Are there any skills, experience or qualities you possess to help benefit the guild?Since I was a leader in Star Wars Galaxies and also in my professional life, I believe I have the qualities to inspire and motivate. These are not rare qualities, but they are critical towards contributing to the efficiency of a group.
Where did you hear about Reign and what attracted you to us?I decided to approach Reign because I have observed a few of your members in the game and found them to be a reflection of my ideals. My last run in with one your members was with Lord Zyrk. He was courteous enough to answer a few light questions about a PvP event on Hoth that we both participated in. I initiated my search for guilds a few nights later, and found your website layout to be concise and less convoluted than many others – a sign of structure that I greatly appreciate. I also truly liked the idea of the Master/Apprentice system. I came to the decision to apply shortly thereafter.
Have you read the guild Charter?I have read the Charter.
Did you read the Code of Conduct and agree to it?I have read the Code of Conduct.
Did you read the Activity Policy and agree to abide by it?I have read the Activity Policy.

The following questions are simply case scenarios in which we can get some insight into how you will play the game. There is no right or wrong answer... just pick the option you would as if you were playing the game.A guild member says in guild chat that he/she is under attack by a Republic player(s) and is requesting assistance. They keep getting killed over and over again. You are a higher level player than your guildmate and currently in the midst of questing yourself. What do you do?
A.) Finish your quest and then offer to help.
B.) Continue about your business and let your guildmate handle it themselves.
C.) Stop what you are doing and come to your guildmate's aid immediately. For me, the correct answer is a hybrid of options A & C. If I am questing with another group and they are relying heavily on my support then it would not be prudent of me to abandon them. If however, I am able to reasonably separate myself from the group, or return at another time, I would go to the aid of my guild mate. If I am by myself, I will always prioritize the need of that guild mate first as long as it is reasonable e.g. If he is being harassed by another gamer and I can reach him in reasonable time.
One of your fellow guildmates said or did something that offended you in some way. Do you:
A.) Forget about it and not mention anything to anyone.
B.) Talk to a leader about it right away.
C.) Talk directly to the member yourself.Once again, the answer to this question is hybrid. B and C are viable options. The first thing I would do is speak directly to my guild mate in a private session. If a descent outcome cannot be reached, then I would advance a formal complaint through the leadership channels.
You are going about your questing when you come across a player on the Republic side who is much lower level than you. Assuming you are on an open Player-versus-Player server, do you:
A) Leave the player alone and let them go about their business.
B) Kill the player on sight once and then leave them be.
C) Kill the player each and every time you see them until they leave the area or you get bored of it.I am inclined to select option B for this question. One of the goals of the Empire is to degrade the morality of the Republic, and so any player-character that represents that ideology should be treated accordingly. It is unfortunate that his/her level should place him/her at such a disadvantage, but it is a necessary evil to destroy such a player (at least once). In some instances I would not kill the player on sight, and that is usually when the player respects the system of levels and flees. If they remain in the area in defiance, then they should be terminated.
