TL;DR Drop bears invaded Tor, killed off membership, New content coming but no one left to enjoy it. Saiden rides a Pony into the sunset to embark on his walk about.

Arzon wrote: We haven't given up on TOR from a guild perspective, but it will take a shit ton of effort by those still actively engaged and interested in the game to help kick things back into gear on that front. We have some ideas being kicked around to try and do so, but it needs the assistance of our members here to get off the ground. While I am sure this is going to bite me in the ars as often I generally don’t know the full story to what the officers are deciding to do. However based on what I heard shockem state along with others from this past guild meeting it’s the same classic limbo excuses of summer time, game not meeting expectations etc. While all valid and not my point of argument what I have seen with my personal “normal” log in time is less than 5 people on with the Reign tag in the game at any given time. The officer’s claim that is on the shoulders of people who still play to help build as Reign has now moved beyond TOR for games. Fair enough but to be frank we who are still left at least from what I can see, I can understand where it would be simpler and probably more productive to leave the Reign tag in TOR for the respective greener pastures. My two cents is from what I have read on the forums and where I see people in Mumble is quite frankly Reign has given up on TOR at least unofficially till 1.3 in hopes that PvP will be worth it and even then including myself it’s just going to be too little too late and we have little hope for a positive outcome. While I think it great that Reign has an open ended community and is expanding beyond one game for the health of the community. I really would like to see a bit forgiveness towards the TOR players, because it feels most of you are asking for us to hold down the fort if you will on the off chance those that are not playing may come back or what not. Per my previous comments on the kick starting thread, People are still going to do what is in their best interest. While I still believe most want to keep with the community however like myself as I don’t really share the gaming interest of LOL, GW2, or Diablo 3. This limits mine as well as others relationship with Reign to the game of TOR (no matter how awful it is atm) and the forums. I told Shockem and those at the meeting that I have concerns but I still will stick to my commitment to Reign in TOR in hopes that thing do turn around. However I cannot promise that I will stay indefinitely if I don’t see others wanting to make a commitment as well nor would I expect or shame anyone else who have the same feelings. It’s all well in good to ask the members to help with recruitment and set up events, but when most already know that no one will show up for these or want to join what by now from the outside looks like a dead guild. This gives the impression that the blame should be on us and we get damned if we do and damned if we don’t know matter what our decision is. All I personally can do is keep logging in TOR as I still play the game, be open to helping and grouping with those that are on. Beyond that short of trying to build my own roster under the Reign tag or make events only to be disappointed that no one shows. I simply do not have that level of influence or charisma to inspire people to play a game they probably don’t want to. PS. Novel man strikes again

If I was still playing ToR, and the situation was as you described it, I would just join a guild that would give me access to the fun parts of the game. You will still be Reign, imo, but we clearly aren't the pvp/pve force we were at the start. Maybe other people would hold it against you, but I think they would be wrong to do so.

Theres alot of emotion in this topic because WE ALL came here originally for this game. We all had alot of hopes and dreams of what it would become, and slowly but surely it hasnt delivered on what we expected.
I am mad about that. I take no pleasure in not playing TOR, and try not to badmouth the game as alot of people still enjoy, but it ended for me in february. Its disappointing and frustrating to see us argue over it. There is nothing wrong with healthy discussion and debate but anymore it just seems we are taking our rage out on each other.
Some are mad the game didnt become what we wanted, some are mad that their game experience is suffering due to those people leaving.
Its a hard time all around. It is summer, and every mmo has a complete lack of population in summer, its the truth, ive seen it every year for hte past 7 years. This game carries alot of side issues with it.
But ill say it will get better for those who still play. Do not be angry with the ones who dont play anymore, because they are just as upset as you over the game not meeting our expectations. I would recommend to be patient and enjoy the community and friends we have here. It is never greener on the other side, ever. Maybe in some aspects, but this is the best damn gaming community ever, PERIOD. We gotta stop this hate on each other and enjoy ourselves again. Which we usually do, but understand the overall situation with TOR atm is frustrating to EVERYONE.

Arzon wrote: I made a point to watch the presentation since people were saying a big announcement was to be made. Lo and behold... They are adding more of the same stuff I grew bored of already. Gimme open world incentivized PvP, 3d space battles and space PvP, a guild leveling system, account wide friends list, legacy guild stuff, etc.
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2 LOL, Arz, that's exactly what I said today when I hit the big button today. To that reply I got this: Subscription You have 10 days of play time remaining. When your play time runs out, you will no longer be able to play. Please sign up for a recurring subscription plan or redeem a Game Time Code.

As I have just joined the guild today, this topic wasn't what I had expected to read on day 1.
Also, I thought the F2P system was not finalized.

Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2 F2p is happening, the only thing left in limbo are the particulars. And dont let us doomsayers discourage you, Gennie & Co. still have a presence in ToR and are doing alot to keep the albeit smaller core of players entertained with things to do.

Can't say I like the idea of this going F2P as I've not seen that work out well for other games. Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
